I am based just outside of Brisbane in Queensland Australia, this is where I make all of my glow in the dark products. I started working on glow in the dark technology and testing various high grade commercial Photoluminescent pigments for their reliability and performance more than 8 years ago.
I initially wanted my own glow in the dark star ceiling and soon found that when it comes to having a truly realistic product their was nothing at all on the market anywhere. The only things I could find in abundance where stickers that look like glowing circles with no realism at all and the big bulky plastic stars that I think are better but only until you are 3 or 4 years old.
What I was looking for was something that looked exactly like the stars that I could see sitting on my deck chair in the middle of one of our great Deserts (Gibson Desert WA) in outback Australia with no interfering city lights, something that actually looked real.
It would be 5 years later (2009) that I released my first stars that I called Micro Stars which have now evolved into the XVR star ceiling. |
