After countless emails from people asking for a star kit that can work against some light wether for a theatre room, lounge room or even an outdoor patio I have now developed the technology to make this star kit possible.

| The photograph on the right shows a 1220mm x 900mm panel or around 12sq feet using 50 fibre optics with micro star ends. The micro star ends control the colour shade, size and intensity of each star at the end of each fibre optic line and this control will give you the first truly realistic star ceiling effect available for home theatres. Now even though these fibre optic lines are the same size at .75mm in diameter you can see the full variation and intensity difference in the photograph. The photograph on the left is a close up shot of the black stars blending with the black panel. It takes only a few minutes online to see the poor results from standard fibre optics and this is because fibre optics are great to carry light from one point to another but lousy at producing variations and intensities. |

Why my theatre star ceilings work
If you are to look at the stars in the real night sky you will see variation, the real stars do not all look the same in size or intensity. So if you want to re-create the same look in your theatre room you will need a product that will supply this variation.
The table on the left shows the different glow strengths that you will receive with my new XVR-305TS theatre star kit. There are 8 fibre optic star intensity levels in these kits and each of these 8 levels has it's own sub range of variation within the group, this complex variation is needed to replicate a truly realistic night sky. My bedroom star kits have 11 levels of variation and sub levels but the 3 super faint levels in those kits would simply be wasted in a theatre application.
As with my bedroom star kits these new theatre kits also have movement stars, the degree of movement will be governed by the amount of light in the room and the adjusted brightness of the star kit. A fairly dark theater room with no extra light will have a much higher movement effect than one that is brighter.
Now you will not have to worry about which strength star to take first or second, simply follow my instructions below (When available) and take stars from the sets only in the direction shown and you can't go wrong.
Along with the variation it is also critical that your ceiling looks black so I have put a lot of development effort into making a black micro star end that will blend with your matte or satin black ceiling as shown in the photo above. This will give you the deep black space look that you need amongst your stunning stars and will complete your super realistic theatre star ceiling! |

My theatre stars are unique and hand made

The above image shows a micro star end embedded into the black self adhesive base which couples the fibre optic and micro star powering it to work at which ever intensity it was designed. This is an extremely slow process but it's the only way to control the light output of each star and is critical in producing a truly realistic star ceiling. You can also see the shape and look of each fibre optic line as it will be on your ceiling.

| 6 LED FOS Light Rail |

This image shows one of my 6 LED light rails that power the new fibre optic star kits. The total consumption of the LED light sources will be around 2 watts or less than 200 milliamps @ 12v for a basic size theatre room so this means there is no heat generated, no noise and it will cost almost nothing to run. You will need to have one power point to power a single plug pack at one end of your star ceiling.

Pricing of my new fibre optics will be based on the size of the star ceiling you will want to create however the basic kit is AUD $870 + shipping and will do two 1220mm x 2440 mm panels (8x4 feet per panel) or 64sq ft of star ceiling, pricing above this kit size will be based on the total amount of fibre optics ordered to complete the project.
You will not need ceiling access but you will need to buy a certain type of lightweight panel that will be shown in my instructions below and suspend it from your ceiling. I will supply mounts in the kit making the suspension of each panel very fast and simple. I do not supply star kits to be used directly on a ceiling even if you have ceiling access because you cannot create a truly realistic effect with all the ceiling constraints like the Joists, columns, beams, light fittings, insulation etc that stop you from freely placing stars in all positions. |

Please Note:
Fitting of this fibre optic star kit is very complex and could take two or more days to set up. You need to read my instructions below (When available) and be confident that you can handle the task.
If you are not a hands on person and do not have someone capable of doing the installation you should not purchase this product. Fitting of these theater stars will also require the purchase of a certain light weight panel that will not be supplied due to it's large shipping volume. These panels are available within Australia, United States, Canada and United Kingdom.
Many theatre customers are fitting my XVR-530 bedroom star kit which not only costs a huge amount less but is fast and easy to install. However if you use the bedroom stars they will only work while the theatre room is dark say before or after movies. Some customers set this up to listen to music under the relaxing stars, to talk or even just relax but only theatre stars will work while a movie is playing or at a time when there is any light in the theater room, the bedroom stars require full darkness. |
